CINCiN takes over InterContinental’s roof top in Double Bay

If heaven has a lobby, I’m convinced it looks exactly like the rooftop of the InterContinental Double Bay during CINCiN’s spring takeover. The lift doors ping open and suddenly you’re bathed in sunshine, staring at a pool so glamorous it practically expects a cameo from Elle Macpherson circa 1996. You haven’t even ordered a drink yet and already your posture improves and your hair flicks itself.

CINCiN, those delightful geniuses of canned cocktails, have swanned in and claimed the rooftop like a fabulous Italian aunt moving into your spare room with ten kaftans and opinions about prosecco. The poolside loungers are now their kingdom, the skyline their backdrop, and your hand? Their new favourite drink holder.

And what a match. You’ve got one of Sydney’s most iconic rooftops, where the views are so outrageously pretty you start wondering if you should apologise to the harbour for staring. Then you add CINCiN’s Caipirinha, Frenchie, or Bellini, each one chilled, canned and tasting like someone bottled flirtation and added bubbles. Suddenly you’re not just at a bar. You’re living your soft-launch Euro summer fantasy without leaving the postcode.

Champagne Lifestyles in Canned Cocktail Form

This isn’t one of those rooftops that pretends to be cool but secretly fears scuffed shoes and joy. This is open-air fabulousness, blue sky, blue pool, dazzling harbour, and a breeze that seduces with, “Order another.” Hotel guests waft by in linen, locals arrive in sunglasses the size of dessert plates, and everyone collectively decides that responsibilities are for people at street level.

The CINCiN takeover has turned the place into a spritz-filled sanctuary. No waiting fifteen minutes for a cocktail that looks like a terrarium. You crack open a can and voilà, instant glamour with zero emotional admin.

And the flavours?

The Frenchie is like Grace Kelly in liquid form, lemony, elegant, a little bit smug with its Prosecco fizz.

The Caipirinha is your friend who texts “Where are you? I’ve ordered shots” before you’ve even left the house, tangy, tropical and fabulously unbothered.

The Bellini is peachy perfection and tastes like something you’d drink while plotting a tasteful elopement on Lake Como.

The InterContinental kitchen has joined the party

Naturally, the InterContinental kitchen has joined the party with seasonal small plates that make you feel like someone should be photographing you for a lifestyle feature called Women Who Nibble Glamourously. You find yourself casually dipping something delicious while pretending you always lounge near infinity pools on Wednesdays.

And because this is Double Bay, you curate your bites between sips while delivering opinions about hydrangeas, yacht names, or Kendall Roy’s emotional damage.

The View That Makes You Forget Your Passwords

By evening, the rooftop evolves from lunch gossip to something far more persuasive. The harbour glows, the skyline flexes, and suddenly the idea of abandoning your current life to become a rooftop correspondent feels not only reasonable, but borderline overdue.

Even the pool looks pleased with itself. It knows it’s the most photogenic rectangle of water this side of Capri.

Public Welcome, Attitude Optional

The best part? You don’t need to be staying at the hotel to swan in. Hotel guests, locals, out-of-towners, and people who just want to pretend they summer in Positano are all welcome. All you need is an outfit with opinions and the ability to say “cin cin”.

CINCiN is Elevated, Effervescent, and Just the Right Amount of Extra

CINCiN has staged a joyful uprising. It’s spring in a can, glamour by the pool, and the sort of place where your phone battery dies from excessive sunset photos.

If rooftop cocktails were a religion, this would be the pilgrimage.
