Tailoring Meets Trackpants

Whiskey Business: The Rise of the Traxedo
I’d like to formally apologise to my pyjama bottoms. After years of loyal service through Netflix binges, 3 a.m. toast runs, and that period I convinced myself tie-dye was chic, they’ve just been outclassed. And not just by any old tracksuit. No. By the Traxedo.
Yes, a tuxedo tracksuit. On 13 August, 2025, in a move so fabulously extra it deserves its own Oscar, luxury tailors Miles Wharton and Rami Mikhael of The Bespoke Corner unveiled their love child with premium bourbon label Woodford Reserve, the Woodford Reserve Traxedo. Designed for Australians who’ve finally admitted they’d rather stay in with a cocktail kit than line up outside a nightclub with only a kebab for comfort, this creation is the couture equivalent of saying, “Yes, I’m lounging, but I’m doing it with a bourbon Old Fashioned and possibly a monocle.”
Tailoring Meets Trackpants

Imagine a super-soft wool jersey so divine you’d swear a cloud had been bribed into fabric form. Now dye it the colour of whiskey, amber, smoky, slightly scandalous. Add a shawl-lapel jacket (because even a tracksuit deserves a red-carpet moment) and pair it with elasticated drawstring trousers that whisper, “I may look like James Bond, but I can also crouch comfortably to retrieve a Malteser from under the sofa.”
It’s a statement piece, the designers say. I call it the sartorial equivalent of marrying Chris Hemsworth and a weighted blanket.
The Bespoke Bourbon Brotherhood

Miles Wharton, who normally dresses men so influential they probably get thank-you notes from their private jets, admitted this was a first.
“The Traxedo,” he said, “is one-of-a-kind.” Which is polite tailor-speak for: “We stitched together loungewear and luxury, and honestly, it shouldn’t work, but it does.”
Rami Mikhael chimed in with something we’ve all secretly known, nothing beats sipping bourbon on the couch in winter. Except now you can sip it while looking like you’re about to give a toast at the Logies.
Even Woodford Reserve’s Senior Brand Manager, Jessica Beater, joined the chorus, “Refined yet relaxed, elevated but unexpected.” Which sounds like how I’d describe myself on a dating profile if I thought anyone would buy it.
Exclusivity Is the New Black

Naturally, this isn’t a mass-market Kmart situation. Oh no. A strictly limited number of Traxedos are available via made-to-measure appointments at The Bespoke Corner’s Sydney and Melbourne boutiques from 20 August. Each one costs $2,000, which, let’s face it, is less than some people spend on kombucha habits.
And because this is Australia and we don’t do things by halves, every Traxedo comes with a bespoke gift bag featuring a Woodford Reserve Old Fashioned Cocktail Kit , complete with a limited-edition bottle. So, not only will you look like a dapper loungewear deity, but you’ll also be equipped to make cocktails while pretending you’re auditioning for Mad Men: The Down Under Edition.

Is the Traxedo necessary? Of course not. Neither is avocado toast shaped like a swan, but that doesn’t stop us. The point is not whether you need a whiskey-hued tracksuit tuxedo. The point is whether you want to be the sort of person who answers the door to Uber Eats wearing one, cocktail in hand, radiating an aura of “yes, darling, this is my loungewear.”
And frankly, I think we all deserve to be that person.
