Four Seasons Resort The Nam Hai, Hoi An Retunr to Balance
Our writers have just returned from this gorgeous property, so look forward to a full rundown soon. For now, Four Seasons Resort The Nam Hai, Hoi An is offering Return to Balance, a new wellness stay aimed at anyone who suspects their own balance may have quietly packed a bag and left sometime around Tuesday.
Available with a minimum three-night stay, the program folds a series of wellness experiences into the rhythm of a holiday which is much more preferable to those resorts that turn the thing into a boot camp involving chia seeds and alarming amounts of Lycra. Guests receive a personal Wellness Screening, a Yoga Nidra session and a 60-minute Deep Peace Bodywork treatment, along with daily breakfast and return airport transfers.
The idea is simple, slow down and give your body and mind a chance to catch up with you.

Wellness Screening with OligoScan technology
The stay begins with a Wellness Screening using OligoScan technology, a non-invasive assessment that looks at biomarkers including oxidative stress levels. From there, guests receive tailored suggestions around lifestyle and fitness. In other words, rather than vaguely deciding that you should probably drink more water and go to bed earlier, you leave with something a little more specific.
Yoga Nidra

Next comes Yoga Nidra, often described as yogic sleep. The 30-minute guided session is designed to take the body into deep physical and emotional relaxation while the mind remains gently aware. There is no requirement to be enlightened or capable of touching your toes.
The final treatment is Deep Peace Bodywork, a 60-minute therapy designed to release tension, quieten the mind and restore a sense of energy and clarity. Guests also receive a Lotus & Cajeput essential-oil roll-on to take home, which may prove useful when normal life inevitably reappears.

All of this takes place at the resort’s award-winning Heart of the Earth Spa, which sits among lotus-filled lagoons and draws inspiration from the teachings of Vietnamese Zen master Thich Nhat Hanh. Its philosophy weaves qualities including Creativity and Non-Judgement through treatments and rituals, with crystal singing bowls and yoga all forming part of the broader wellness program.
The resort is designed around lush gardens and Feng Shui principles, with indoor-outdoor villas that make it surprisingly easy to forget that emails exist. Mornings can be spent cycling through the tropical grounds, walking along Ha My Beach or doing very little beside one of the cascading infinity pools, which is an underrated form of personal development.
Luxurious yet healthy menus

Food is part of the equation too. Menus include the resort’s Balance by Four Seasons dishes alongside seasonal Vietnamese cooking, with herbs and vegetables harvested from the property’s own organic garden.
As evening arrives, guests can take part in reflective ceremonies such as the Thap Nen candle-lighting ritual or Goodnight Kiss to the Earth, where handwritten wishes are floated across a pond.

Wellness Manager and resident naturopath Sudha Nair says the philosophy is deliberately removed from the modern urge to constantly do more.
“So much of modern wellness has become about pushing forward,” she says. “Here, we ask our guests to exhale, let go, and arrive in the moment.”
Three nights of Return to Balance wellness in Hoi An

Return to Balance can be added to stays of three nights or more and includes daily breakfast, one 60-minute Wellness Screening, one 30-minute Yoga Nidra session, one 60-minute Deep Peace Bodywork treatment, a Lotus & Cajeput essential-oil roll-on and return airport transfers for two guests.
It is wellness without the sermon, in a setting where slowing down seems less like something you have to work at and more like the obvious thing to do.
