Tour Highlights

Girdwood

After a night of R&R at Hotel Captain Cook, go for a scenic drive enroute to Hotel Alyeska in Girdwood. Hotel Alyeska is surrounded by lush greenery and mountain peaks. The chateau-style resort has a saltwater pool, a spa and lots of nature trails to enjoy. The Alyseka Arial Tram the hotel’s best feature. Take the tram up to the observation deck for breathtaking views.

Chugnach Mountains

Visit the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Centre, a nonprofit organisation specialising in the rehabilitation of injured and orphaned animals.

After making some new animal friends, the Glacier Discovery will take you on an awe-inspiring rail journey. Travel through the Chugnach Mountains, the Kenai Mountains and the Chuganch National Forest. Remember to have binoculars or a camera ready. Plenty of moose and bears call this area home.

Time to turn the excitement up a notch. Disembark at Spencer Lake for a shared rafting expedition. Floating through glaciers and icebergs on Spencer Lake can be a peaceful experience.

Cruising through the Kenai Fjords

This six-hour experience will take you away from the land and onto the Fjords of the Kenai Peninsula. As you cruise through the Kenai Fjords National Park, keep an eye out for humpback whales, orcas and puffins. Remember to look up. If you’re lucky you might see a bald eagle.

Denali National Park

Denali National Park is the crown jewel of Alaska. Adventure through six million acres of pristine wilderness at Denali National Park. Head out on a guided hike, mountain bike along the old mining roads or relive the gold rush and try your hand at panning for gold.

Flightseeing adventure

Take off on a flightseeing adventure of Denali National Park from the Kantishna Airstrip. This is a highlight of tour and the only way to really grasp the enormity of Denali and its incredible beauty.

Enhance Your Journey

Abercrombie & Kent know how to sweeten an already sweet deal. They offer four exciting add-ons to the journey.*

Bear spotting by seaplane

Fly by seaplane to Redoubt Bay, where you can watch for bears as they come out to feed. Early June through early September is the best window for bear sightings.

Helicopter & glacial sled-dog experience

From Girdwood, lift off by helicopter for an alpine camp in the mountains. There you can set out on a sled-dog tour across a snow-covered glacier and maybe even drive the sled yourself.

Private rafting excursion

Instead of a shared journey, you can book the Spencer Lake rafting adventure as a private excursion.

Private Kenai Fjords national park cruise

Book your Kenai Fjords National Park cruise as a private charter on a smaller vessel with a local captain and crew guiding the way.

*Extra costs may incur.
