There are streets all over the world lined with perfectly poised luxury shops waiting to be explored. Think Hermes scarves, Prada handbags and classic Louboutin heels. Here are the top five luxury shopping streets around the world for high-end retail therapy.

1. Upper 5th Avenue, New York, USA
For those who find themselves in Manhattan, a trip to the iconic shops on Fifth Avenue is an absolute must. The fashion scene here is nothing short of fabulous. Bvgalri, Valentino and Tiffany & Co. are among the high-end designers you’ll find on Fifth Avenue. As is the famous department store, Saks. The long-time fifth avenue resident opened in 1924 and continues to stock clothing and accessories made by top European and American designers.
When you’ve exhausted all the options on Fifth Avenue, you can head to Madison Avenue or 57th Street to continue the shopping spree.

2. Bond Street, London, England
London is a shopper’s paradise, especially when it comes to high-end shopping. Bond Street, found in the heart of London, is a favourite shopping destination for the rich and famous. There are plenty of boutiques and luxury stores to choose from including, Louis Vuitton, Cartier, Jimmy Choo and Burberry – what a line up.
It wouldn’t be shopping in London without a visit to two of the most iconic department stores. Bond Streets Selfridges offers a luxury multi-level shopping experience. Located in Knightsbridge, not far from Bond Street, is probably the most famous department store of them all – Harrods. Remember to visit the chocolate hall in Harrods for some Violet Crème chocolates. Simply divine.

3. Avenue Montaigne, Paris, France
The Champs-Elysees might be a household name in the world of shopping, but when it comes to high-end shopping, head to Avenue Montaigne. In the 18th century, Avenue Montaigne was known as Allée des Veuves or “widow’s alley”. It was a place where mourning widowers gathered. Today, Avenue Montaigne is a place where the only mourning, is done by your bank account.
With French and Italian elites, Chanel, Givenchy, Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Armani, Fendi and Dolce & Gabbana, lining the streets, you’re sure to spend big and take home some exceptional couture finds. Head to No. 30 to find the original home of Christian Dior. The building was originally constructed in 1865 by Napoleon’s illegitimate son and is well known for its eclectic changing façade.
If hunger strikes, head to L’Avenue for a spot of lunch. The restaurant is very popular with celebrities, especially during fashion week.

4. Bahnhofstrasse, Zurich, Switzerland
With a reputation for being one of the most expensive shopping streets in the world, it comes as no surprise that Bahnhofstrasse in Zurich is home to fashion heavyweights like, Armani, Gucci, Prada, Rolex and Hermes. Bahnhofstrasse is the perfect place to be for jewellery lovers. With diamonds a-plenty at Tiffany’s and Gübelin, you’re sure to shine even brighter after a visit.
This exclusive street has everything your heart desires; fashion, jewellery, art, and if you have a sweet tooth, two moreish confectionary stores. Sprungli and Teuscher are famous for their chocolate truffles and offer the perfect energy boost to keep up the shopping momentum.
Top tip: the closer to you are to the lake on Bahnhofstrasse, the more exclusive labels.

5. Rodeo Drive, Beverly Hills (CA), United States
California is home to the rich and famous. If you’re in the market for high-end shopping and star spotting, head to Rodeo Drive. This shopping area is nothing but glamourous.
Stretching three blocks, Rodeo Drive is home to almost every top designer in the world. Wander through the pristinely kept street and spend big at Gucci, Fendi, Louis Vuitton, Saint Laurent, Chanel (and so many more). You can even watch ‘Pretty Woman’ while sipping a glass of champagne and having your nails done at the Nail Bar.
