Icebreaker’s SS23 summer collection
Icebreaker has launched its SS23 collection in Australia, designed to keep wearers even cooler this summer. The collection consists of T-shirts, shorts, underwear, and socks which are perfect for any summer adventure.
Today, 95% of the fibres in icebreaker clothing are either natural or plant-based. The 5% that remain serve specific and necessary performance requirements, such as adding stretch to underwear and extra strength to socks. Even so, icebreaker is actively innovating toward natural or bio-based alternatives which the brand is set to introduce to its range in fall/winter 2023, pushing ever closer to its plastic-free goal.

In its latest Transparency Report, icebreaker announced that it’s going a step beyond sustainability with its goal to pioneer regeneratively grown wool. The aim is to incorporate regenerative practices on the farms from which it sources its merino wool to help promote biodiversity and further lighten its environmental footprint. With a mindset of continuous improvement, one thing remains constant for the brand – its belief in the power of natural fibres. So confident in this, icebreaker will run a seven day challenge inviting us to discover the performance benefits of natural fibres by wearing one of its base layers or tees for seven days. With this activation helping to bolster its mission, icebreaker aims to strengthen its position as a leader in the movement toward a more natural way of living.
