The debut of the Superyacht Sea Raes
To celebrate its seasonal debut, Sea Raes has launched a glistening line-up of all-inclusive charter packages running from July through October. These packages are essentially the yachting equivalent of a five-star spa day that floats. Guests are whisked around must-see locations, Whitehaven Beach, Hill Inlet, the Great Barrier Reef, while being pampered in that distinctly Raes on Wategos way, equal parts barefoot luxury and “Did my lunch just come with a seaweed and lemon myrtle crust? Why yes, it did.”
Charters are available for 1, 3 or 5 nights (longer if you’re very hard to impress), and include everything from Champagne breakfasts to sunset aperitivos, not to mention the full culinary talents of two-hatted chef Jason Saxby, who will feed you in ways that make your mouth weep with joy. There’s also the option to dine beachside, like some kind of casually elegant castaway with great taste in wine.
And yes, there’s a bar. And yes, there are cocktails. Obviously.
When you’re not being fed or fanned by sea breezes, there are guided hikes, snorkelling, stand-up paddleboarding, jet skiing, and even optional add-ons for those who fancy a bit of deep-sea fishing, helicopter touring, or golfing by chopper, which is honestly just showing off but in a good way.
Other highlights include live music, massages, and what can only be described as a very Instagrammable Champagne picnic at Whitehaven Beach. There are even guest chef residencies from the Northern Rivers region, in case you were worried your culinary journey might momentarily dip below “Michelin adjacent.”
Charter for eight guests or 30 for a day
Sea Raes is a 101-foot floating fantasy with room for eight guests to stay overnight (or 30 to swan about on a day charter), and interiors by designer Tamsin Johnson, which means everything looks like it belongs in a coastal-luxe design spread but also invites you to actually sit down without fear of creasing a cushion.
Guests will enjoy menus tailored to their tastes (yes, even you with your “gluten-free pescatarian but only if it’s local line-caught fish” requirements), and meals can be served on the sundeck, in the saloon, or even, should the mood strike, on an actual beach. Signature dishes include oysters with finger lime mignonette, which sounds like a spell but is actually a starter.
According to Raes general manager Marty McCaig, “Sea Raes is an expression of Raes’ signature hospitality, now available for charter in one of the world’s most spectacular settings.” Which, roughly translated, means bring your sunnies and prepare to be blissfully ruined for all future holidays.
Day charters on Sea Raes
Day charters are also available for the less commitment-prone, ideal for celebrating birthdays, engagements, promotions, or the fact that your ex is finally moving to another time zone. These include full access to Sea Raes’ premium bevvy list and all the watersport toys your heart could desire (within reason).
