Jazz à Vienne Jazz Festival

14 -21 September,  2024 in Vienne France

Close to Lyon, this festival usually runs over two weeks. It began in 1981 and has hosted over 1000 international artists. The Ancient Theater of Vienne hosts most of the concerts while some are held  in pubs over the city. There are also musical lectures, film screening and more. Cheltenham Jazz Festival

This is one of Europes most prominent jazz festivals. In 2023 Gregory Porter vurated artists including Damian Lewis, Laura Mvula, Gregory Porter, Will Young, MIKA, Squeeze, Tony Hadley, Van Morrison and Rufus Wainwright.

This jazz festival is curated by Claire Martin OBE and filled with rising stars and acclaimed artists. Set in a historic venue, you can be enthralled by Ray Gelato and The Giants before frequenting the champagne bar and an open fire Argentinian asado.

North Sea Jazz Festival

12–14 July 2024 Rotterdam, the Netherlands

Rotterdam’s North Sea Jazz Festival offers a whole host of entertainment including workshops, panels and exhibitions. There are over 1,000 artists which span jazz, blues, soul and funk. The festival began 1976 and last year it featured featured Stormzy, Tom Jones, Janelle Monae, Seal and Lizzo, just for starters.

Umbria Jazz

12–21 July 2024  Perugia, Italy

Italian music producer Carlo Pagnotta founded the Umbria Jazz in 1973. Featuring blues, soul and Latin music and of course jazz, there is a key focus on sustainability, and a host of activities for children and families.

Sani Festival

 Sani Hill, Kassandra, Greece

What a location to enjoy jazz. Set on Sani Hill to a dramatic backdrop of the Byzantine tower ruins and the Aegean Sea, this festival was headlined in 2023 by Andrea Bocelli. Tom Odell, Bonnie Tyler, Sarah Brightman, Chucho Valdés, Paquito D’Rivera, Al Di Meola, Jack Savoretti, and Bob Geldof all performed, as well as a plethora of Greek legends.

Jazz in Marciac

This village style festival might be small but it draws some great acts to the corner of Southwestern France for two weeks. There are workshops, masterclasses and exhibitions alongside performances from names such as Norah Jones, Samara Joy and Gregory Porter.

Flow Festival

 9–11 August 2024 Helsinki, Finland

Flow Festival began in 2004 and has grown into a key player Wizkid, Blur and FKA Twigs all performed in 2023, next to a selection of talks and art. Flow is one of the world’s first carbon-neutral festivals.

Green Room

Who wouldn’t want to watch world class musicians in a medieval barn in a countryside village? The Pasedena Roof Orchestra opened the first ever Green Room festival in 2023, with performances on from world-renowned performers, and swing from jazz vocalist Clare Teal with The Clare Teal Four on Sunday.
